This strenuous trek encircles the eight highest mountains in the world, Manaslu (8163m, "mountain of soul") and was officially opened to trekkers in 1991.
Therefore, it is a remote and strenuous trekking area with beautiful views of the Ganesh and Manaslu Himal and it offers a unique view into the culture of various ethnic groups of Nepal, perhaps unique in comparaison to the other treks.
The trek starts in the historic town of Gorkha or Arughat and follows the course of the Budu Gandaki. We will pass over medium mountains and eventually through the high, arid desert region part
of the Tibetan Plateau, where people of Tibet are living since many generations. The predominant religion of the area is the Tibetan Buddhism.
This trek is a challenge as it crosses the Larkya pass (5150 m) and requires an excellent physical endurance.
Dieser anspruchsvolle Trek umrundet den achthöchsten Berg der Welt, den Manaslu („Berg der Seele“, 8163 m) und wurde erst 1991 für Touristen freigegeben.
Neben schönen Blicken auf den Ganesh Himal und den Manaslu Himal bietet dieses abgelegene Wandergebiet auch mehr als andere Trekkingtouren einzigartige Einblicke in die Kultur der verschiedenen Volksgruppen Nepals.
Die Tour beginnt in der historischen Stadt Gorkha oder Arughat und folgt dem Lauf des Budu Gandaki. Durch eine Mittelgebirgslandschaft erreichen wir die hoch gelegene, trockene Wüstenregion des Tibetischen Plateaus, wo seit vielen Generationen Tibeter siedeln. Die vorherrschende Religion in diesem Gebiet ist der tibetische Buddhismus.
Diese Tour überquert den Larkya Pass auf 5150 m Höhe und erfordert deshalb eine gute Gesundheit und Kondition.

- Soti Khola to Machha Khola (890 m)
- Machha Khola to Jagat (1350 m)
- Jagat to Deng (2095 m)
- Deng to Namrung (2900 m)
- Namrung to Lho (3100)
- Lho to Samagaon (3390 m)
- Rest day in Sama (trek to Manaslu Basecamp)
- Samagaon to Samdo (3690 m)
- Samdo (excursion up to the Tibetan border)
- Samdo to Larkya Phedi / Daramshala (4460 m)
- Cross Larkya pass (5150m) and reach Bimtang (3590 m)
- Bimtang to Tilje (2100 m)
- Tilje to Jagat (1800 m)
- Jagat to Besisaha (823m) and drive to Kathmandu - End of the trek
